We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am currently using Mac OS 10.14.6 and an HP Officejet 8610 printer/scanner.  HP Easy Scan downloaded/updated on 11/20/20.  Photos have been scanning fine until recently.  Now the scan completes, but the photos aren't lined up correctly. The photo ends up being split over a couple of scan images (see attached).  That is the big issue. Second one is there a way to adjust the scan settings as far as black levels, saturation, etc?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues scanning.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

How is the printer connected to the computer? (USB, wireless)

Have you tried using HP Smart App?

 

I recommend you remove the printer from your computer and then download and install the printer driver from the below link.

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

If you continue facing the issue, then uninstall HP Easy Start and then download and install it again.

I did those steps and the problem remains.  When I do a test scan on installation it looks good, though four photos are not separated as Easy Scan used to do.  However, when I use Easy Scan, I still have the split image problem, so maybe its an issue with that app.
