Product: HP LaserJet 1536 dnf MFP
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP LaserJet 1536 dnf MFP printer/scanner.  The auto-feeder does not feed paper into the scanner.  It's as if it doesn't recognize there is paper present to feed.  Rollers don't engage.

I've tried re-booting and re-installing the software in the computer via the HP Print and Scan Doctor".  I get the message "The full software solution for your product is not installed on this computer.  In order to use all the features of your product, you must install the full software solution."  Re-installation does not solve this problem.

A flat cable connecting mainboard and scanner assembly gets defective and needs to be replaced.

 

You can find them on eBay, but replacing is a struggle.
