Hi @Samay_biswas,

To resolve issues with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M521dn scanner not working in Windows 11 64-bit, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Update Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your HP Laserjet Pro MFP M521dn. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website by searching for your printer model and selecting Windows 11 as your operating system.

  2. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP offers a tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor which can diagnose and resolve potential issues with your printer and scanner. You can download it from the HP website and run it to see if it resolves your scanning issues.

  3. Reinstall Printer Software:

    • Uninstall the current printer software from "Programs and Features" in Windows.
    • Reboot your computer.
    • Reinstall the software downloaded from the HP website. Make sure to select the full feature software and driver package, which includes all necessary components for scanning.
  4. Check Scanner Connections: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or network. If you are using a network connection, verify that both your computer and printer are connected to the same network.

  5. Ensure Scanner is Enabled:

    • Go to "Devices and Printers" in Control Panel.
    • Right-click on your printer and select "See what's printing."
    • Under the "Printer" menu, ensure "Use Printer Online" is checked.
  6. Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Service:

    • Press Win + R and type services.msc.
    • Find the "Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)" service, right-click on it, and select "Restart."
    • Make sure its startup type is set to "Automatic."
  7. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows 11 is up to date, as Microsoft may release updates that can resolve compatibility issues.
