Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).
Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Office Jet Pro 9010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am unable to scan from the printer to a Network Folder.  I go through all the screens and it comes back with Scan Error - Unable to Connect. I have run the Wireless Network Test report and everything comes back as PASS.

I have gone through HP Smart Printer Settings > Advanced Settings (on the computer).

Scan to Network Folder > OK > I have tried both Edit and Remove (started over). I go through all the setup > Save and Test. It comes back with Network Error. Check the printers network connection and try again.

Right now the only way I can scan is to put the document in the feeder (or glass) come back to my computer (in the other room) and using HP Smart, scan. This is VERY inconvenient. I have even reset the printer defaults.

PLEASE HELP!!

I am able to print to the printer with no issues.

Thank you ~ Karyn

Hi@KDawes, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps,

.

  1. Search Windows for devices, and then click Devices and Printers from the list of results.
  2. Right-click the name of the HP printer that is active (not grayed out), and then select Set as Default Printer.

Then, I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer to stabilize.

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03286146 to Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor.

HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free tool for Windows to help resolve common printing and scanning problems, such as missing or corrupt print drivers, connectivity issues, firewall issues, scan error messages, printer offline, and print jobs stuck in the print queue.

If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

Remove the USB if connected

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for an HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties
