HP Office Pro 6968. The Send a Fax button does not function. clicking on it does nothing.

I setup the fax software from the CD.  Ran a Fax Test and everything is setup and ready to go.  When I try to fax a document  via the HP software I am clicking on the Send a Fax icon.  Nothing happens when I do this.  I reinstalled the software twice, I've setup the fax wizard through the fax wizard icon, all of those icons work.  When I press the Send a Fax icon nothing happens.  How do I fix this?  Why doesn't the send the fax icon work?  I'm on windows 10.

please unplug any phone cable connected to the back of your printer, and restart it without connecting any phone cable yet.

Select Fax > Tools > Run Fax Test and let me know the results.

If the error persists, and error correction is in use for the fax session, disable ECM.

1. From the printer control panel display, touch Fax .

2. Touch Setup .

3. Touch Preferences .

4. Scroll to Error Correction Mode to touch to turn the feature on or off.

Set the host machine to receive at a slower transmission speed.

1. From the printer control panel display, touch Fax .

2. Touch Setup , and then touch Preferences .

3. Touch Speed .

4. Touch to select an option
