297 x 432 mm (11.69 x 17 in)
Maximum ADF one-sided scan size
216 x 356 mm (8.5 x 14 in)

Hi,

May sure the Scan Source within the HP software is set to Flatbed Glass and not to Document Feeder or Automatic, then you should be able to set the Scan size as A3.
