Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. When using HP Smart and the "Scann"-functon, nothing functions.  I'm told to restart the printer/scanner, but the problem remains the same.  The jungle of sorry to say: useless support on HP, is too much to cut through.  Anyone got a quick-fix?  Apart from buying a printer/scanner from a company that delivers machines that work at least for a day after they come out of the box?

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-9010-all-in-one-printer-series/239...

 

Go to Software - Utility and download the "HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 Print and Scan Driver and Accessories",

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Thank you for your reply.  Very kind of you.  However, after about two hours of trying and retrying, Connecting and disconnecting, Starting and restarting, Uninstalling and Reinstalling, the situation remains the same.  I either get the message that the scanner is busy with another something - please try later - or that there is an error with the printer.  Does anyone know of a service from which this can be fixed by remote?
