Hi @Paai,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Officejet 4500 G510g is not allowing you to make photocopies, there could be several reasons behind this issue.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Paper Tray: Ensure that the paper tray is loaded with paper and properly aligned. Sometimes, if the paper is not loaded correctly, the printer may not initiate the copying process.

Inspect Scanner: Make sure there are no obstructions or debris on the scanner glass. Even a small speck of dust can interfere with the scanning process and prevent the printer from making photocopies.

Restart Printer: Try restarting the printer by turning it off, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or errors.

Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your HP Officejet 4500 G510g. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues and prevent certain functions, such as photocopying, from working properly. Reset Printer: You can try performing a factory reset on your printer. Please refer to the user manual or HP's support website for instructions specific to your printer model.

Check Ink/Toner Levels: Although you mentioned that the printer can print, it's still worth checking the ink or toner levels to ensure that they are sufficient for photocopying.

Test with Different Documents: Try photocopying different types of documents or images to see if the issue is specific to certain types of materials.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
