Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer that's out of warranty, unfortunately. It works perfectly when I need to print (from multiple wireless sources - laptop, iPhone, etc.) or copy a document. However, I cannot get it to scan a document. It says it's not seen on the network, but that makes no sense to me as I'm printing to the same device wirelessly. Help?
