Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

After last weeks update to my printer, the scanner no longer will scan to my computer.

Everything else works, I can print from my computer, and from my cell phone.

The error message says:

Unable to Communicate with the Scanner.

I have unplugged, waited, and it plugged it in numerous times.

I have also tried numerous times the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

The driver update did not contain any scanner code.  You will need to install the full driver package.

Put in the product id, serial number or model information

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

or provide the model here and I can try to find the full feature software

Some older printers required a 3rd party solution for the scanner but I suspect your problem is just an incomplete driver.
