Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

After being able to do so for years, I am suddenly unable to scan to e-mail using the HP scan utility on my WIN10 PC. The doc scans OK, but when I select send (to e-mail) instead of opening a new message to be addressed, I get: HP scan app unable to open your e-mail app and cannot attach the scan to a new email. Check your email configuration.

This feature worked as recently as two weeks ago, but now errors. I am attempting to scan a document to my default E-mail which is Outlook. I know I can always scan, save then attach the document to a new message, but scanning directly to E-mail was a useful shortcut eliminating a couple of steps. The error message suggests check e-mail configuration which means nothing.

You may have to setup scan to email again. Refer to this document to know how. This document applies to Officejet printers.
