Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Software initially installed from CD. Readiris Pro 14 reported HP TWAIN error. Using wireless connection 6 ft. from router & printer. Tried easy actions: restarts, verified scan ability with HP Smart OK. IP address appears OK but I'm not expert. I have not disabled firewall. I have loaded Readiris Pro 16, no change. I have attempted to upload drivers. Error. I have asked HP Dr. to fix - errors & no answer.  I have been working this over several days and I am still unable to resolve. I tried HP virtual assistant - not helpful. Can you help?

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Do try these steps in the order stated:

 

1. Install the HP FULL solution software

2. After a successful install, then download and install the ReadIris pro ver16.0 software:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-7740-wide-format-all-in-...

 

The order of the install needs to be HP FULL software first then ReadIris.
