HP Smart (120.1.741.0) Scanned Document Editing issues / Software Crashing

Envy 5010 / HP Smart
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Unable to reliably use the HP Smart scanning software to scan, edit and then save documents.

Since the most recent update (120.1.741.0) software will randomly crash and now when trying to edit documents after scanning, changes can be made, but will not save after clicking 'done'. Meaning you have to try several times to make changes to a single document. And after several attempts software will just crash.

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App. Also, try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

I have the same problem - after the recent HP Smart app update, the edit scan page no longer works - it just returns to the scan page without the cropping or flipping.

I have OfficeJet Pro 6960 same issues, software is unusable for editing.
