Operating System: Android 8.0 Oreo and older

HP seems to have changed the printer scan app. The old one was kind of clunky but always worked fine. The new one does not give an option to save after scanning and showing a preview. This...makes scanning useless. I browsed the help page but it only explains what to do with screenshots of the old app. I tried the chat bot but it only tried to give links to the scanner help page, which is for the old app.

 

FTR when I say "new" and "old" app its actually the same app, I didn't download or even initiate an update it just seems to be some new update they pushed.

 

Anyone else have this new version of scanning and actually find a way to save?
