When I try to scan with Smart Start I am now required to sign in to a HP account, however when signing in I receive an error message. " We're sorry, something went wrong. We're experiencing connectivity issues..." I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600, this is a new issue I have been using this printer and HP Smart Start for many years without signing in or any other issues. My first work around was to use the display screen on the printer. Now the display is fading and hard to read. My current work around is to run the HP scan diagnostic tool and do a "test" scan. That is very cumbersome and takes extra time. I don't want to buy another printer but I am running out of options or ideas.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8600-e-all-in-one-printe...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Hi there, I am having the same problem with HP Smart.  My printer in Officejet 5255.  When I tried to sign in, I received this error msg: (Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0100).  I subsequently downloaded the software for this model and am able to scan with this HP scan software.  But the portal of this HP scan is very tiny and very hard to read.  HP smart is much easier to use.  I uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart but didn't solve the problem. Please kindly advise.
