HP Smart Software scanning is currently unavailable

HP Recommended
HP Office 5200 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

None of the solutions already available here worked

Is there anything else I can attempt?
Furthermore there is no way for which the printer becomes available via Wi-Fi Connection. A complete disaster.

Exactly the same for me and looking at the continuous stream of comments there are many many others with the same or related problem.  this is not hardware - my printer is barely run in.

HP are stuck with their heads firmly in the sand ignoring the issue and hoping it will go away. After 4+ weeks of trying to get scan and copy to work, I'm going away permanently.

So you are saying that they screwed up with the latest updates and that I am wasting my time?

Solution would be to get rid of the printer and buy something from another company?

The printer is quite new though, it has not been used much.

I thought I was getting some help, which delayed my response - but I've been fobbed off by being passed to the service department in the UK and it's going to be another week before I hear from them "for a solution, if there is one". My printer is 2 years old and hardly used for printing.
Scan and Print are essential for my business and I have no option but to walk now.
