Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Microsoft Windows 11

I am attempting to Scan a document through the HP Smart app from my HP Envy 5055 all in one printer.  When I click Scan, it asks me to login.  I do and am immediately brought to a page that says "We're Sorry Something Went Wrong".  I have tried multiple times and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app.  Any suggestions?

Hi @neurockd,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to scan using HP Smart

Try the below suggestions-

1)Uninstall HP Smart

2)Install all the available Windows updates

3) try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

4)Reinstall HP Smart app from windows store

If the error persists, install theHP Easy Start (under the Software and Utility tab )and use HP Scan to scan a document

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
