HP Smart requiring sign in to scan

I am NOT going through the internet / HP cloud to scan. I will be going to your competitor for a new wifi direct printer, because of your HP Smart software requiring login to the HP cloud. I started with an HP 41C calculator with thermal printer in 1980 for college. I used this calculator for almost 20 years and have been buying HP computers, laptops, and printers for years. I currently have two HP Omens I use.  This caused me a lot of headache / time, and I will not reward HP's bad behavior. You are driving customers away, including me. Good luck with your new business model of ramming stuff down peoples throat.

In almost every case for every supported printer, you can opt to use the full driver printer software as opposed to using HP Smart.   Nothing new here.  Ask if you want to know more - include the exact printer model.

What?

HP Smart Windows (there is a version for Mac OS, too) is a widely used application.

Use of HP Smart is not mandatory to use your printer from your computer.

Yes, HP Smart requires that you sign into the application using your HP Account credentials.

Nice App - not required.

HP Smart Mobile is a widely used application used with supported HP printers for Mobile Printing.

Yes, HP Smart Mobile does require you sign into the application using your HP Account credentials.
