We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Example: Officejet 5220 all-in-one printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to scan wirelessly.

The printer and the laptop are both talking directly wirelessly.

However the APP wants an internet connection to tell the printer to print.

I can have one or the other working but not both at the same time. If I turn the internet on, the printer goes offline.

If I use the app to sign in, then close, the app just does a huge circle and I'm back at the start. You even say in the instructions that either internet or wireless can be used, but not both at the same time.

So why set up the App so it needs an internet connection? I can't see how to change this.

I don't quite understand the issue you're facing. Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App: https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/ish_2073929-1413451-16
