We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Prior to a hp Smart upgrade this morning, I was able to edit, i.e. the cropping feature, my documents  and highlight the scanned item for placement into my separate MS word document.  After the upgrade, I seem to have lost all of those capabilities.  What happened?  Thank you.

It sounds like the recent upgrade to HP Smart might have caused some changes in how features are accessed or enabled. Here’s what you can try to troubleshoot and possibly restore those capabilities.

 

  • Check for Updates: Sometimes, updates can bring changes to app features. Make sure you have the latest version of HP Smart installed. Go to your app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and check for any pending updates for HP Smart. If there's an update available, install it.
  • Restart the App: Close the HP Smart app completely and then reopen it. This can sometimes resolve minor issues or refresh the app settings.
  • Check Settings: Within HP Smart, look for any settings related to document editing, cropping, or integration with MS Word. These settings might have been reset or changed during the update.
  • Reinstall HP Smart: If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Smart app. This can help to restore any missing features or settings that might have been affected by the update.

 

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully restore the functionality you had before the HP Smart upgrade.
