Have already been through the process of granting access to HP to remotely access and troubleshoot system on this end. End result was being informed that problem was on HP's end. upon trying to find out if they have addressed the problem on their end, I get someone wanting to run through the whole setup and trouble shoot system again.

If HP can't or won't fix the issue, please inform me and I'll puchase a system that will work.

I've notified our Community Moderators -- your mention of someone getting into your system sounds wrong to me...  Should there be a response, look for a message here before an agent contact you.  HP will not suddenly call you, monitor your system and pop a chat box, or text you.

According to the documentation I can find, this printer does not have built-in Fax hardware.

What?

Printer model does not fax, in other words - no fax hardware.

 

It seems odd that HP Support would request access to your computer for fax - your printer does not fax.

HP Support follows strict rules about accessing customer devices.

If you are referring to HP Mobile Fax -- in so much that I'm aware, the Mobile Fax software is still (and for years) in the Never-ending Trial phase.  Trial software is not supported by HP Support.

Reminders - READ

Online Case Submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.

 

Some regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online

 

Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty.  Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.

 

HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.

 

If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.

 

Important

HP Phone numbers you find on the Internet have likely been hijacked. Old HP phone numbers – for example, those numbers no longer used by HP since the move to “online” case submissions – might have been taken over by thieves.
