Good afternoon all,

 

I just installed the recommended software for my 2632 All In One device.

 

Printing went fine.

 

But HP disabled scanning unless I open an online account. I was shocked when I read that.

 

I do not know what to say. I bought a scanner and HP disables the scanning option ?!?!?! Sounds like  a very dishonest scam

 

This is ridiculous. I do not wish an online account.

 

Now what ?

Hi Duncan,

Please let us know your operating system.

 

HP Smart offers printing and scanning while using an HP Account, as a cloud-based solution.

 

HP Basic or Full Feature Software are another options to use the printer locally with an application, which does not require any online registration.

Good evening.

 

I am running Windows10. As you know there is no internet in most areas of the world. There fore my scanner is useless. in the mean time I have bought a Samsung. Too bad HP does not provide any insight on getting working software for my device.

You may install the Print and Scan Driver and Accessories below, then you may print and scan using HP Scan, no internet connection is required for scanning from a Windows 10 computer:

Tried to install that software today. the printer came without a cable but in order to install the sofware HP want me to connect my laptop to the printer with a cable.

 

Not having to use cables is the main reason I bought this printer in the first place 😞
