My HP Laser Jet m1522nf scanner & printer was working fine for both scanning, copying & printing. Now the scan option has disappeared from the menu. When the scan button is pressed I get a message NOT SET UP ON PC. I have tried the option suggested on HP web site. none works. I can print and copy but no scanning.

  • Software Configuration: Double-check the scanning software on your computer. Make sure it's properly configured to communicate with the scanner.
  • HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a diagnostic tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor which can help identify and fix printing and scanning problems. You can download it from the HP website and run it to see if it can detect and resolve any issues.
  • Reset Printer Settings: Sometimes resetting the printer settings to default can help. You can usually do this from the printer's control panel or through the printer settings on your computer.
