Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

The scanner worked before, but when my computer updated to Mac OS--Sonoma 14.3.1, the scanner quit working.  Is there an HP update to correct this problem?

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.

 

May I have the exact product name and number? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

 

Note: This could be a compatibility issue with the Current OS Mac Sonoma 14.

 

Meanwhile, refer to the documents below and see if that helps.

Click here for Scanner Failure errors on HP printers.

 

Also, update the firmware if available for your current OS. Click here

I did reinstall my printer, but that did not fix the problem.  However, I am able to scan through the HP Smart app.
