Hi @lenny43979,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you're able to print wirelessly but the HP Scan software can't see your HP Laserjet Pro MFP M127fw printer, here's a series of steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Verify Printer Network Connection:
    • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. Double-check your network settings on both the printer and the computer.

  2. Check HP Software Installation:
  3. Update Printer Firmware:
    • Check for any firmware updates for your printer, as firmware can sometimes resolve bugs and connectivity issues.

  4. Check Firewall Settings:
    • Ensure that your computer's firewall or security software is not blocking the HP scan software. If necessary, configure the firewall to allow HP programs to communicate over the network.

  5. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
    • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool, which can automatically diagnose and resolve scanning issues. Install and run it to detect problems with the configuration and drivers.

  6. Reinstall the Printer:
    • Remove the current printer installation and reinstall it:
      • Open your system's Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
      • Right-click your printer and select Remove Device.
      • Re-add the printer via Add a Printer and follow the instructions to install the complete drivers and software.

  7. Network Discovery Settings:
    • Make sure that the network discovery is enabled on your computer. This setting allows the computer to see other network devices.

  8. Verify Serial Number:
    • Double-check the printer’s serial number by printing a Configuration Page. This page often provides comprehensive details, including the correct serial number, which you can compare with what you have.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
