Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw doesn't save after scan from PC.

Win11 64bit Pro, Ethernet connect, reinstalled software: Full_Webpack-63.6.6364-SJ0001_Full_Webpack after deleting previous software and deleting program files, clearing registry . When you click save it just closes and nothing saved. Tried as pfd and jpg, same error.  However scan initiated on the printer will save to PC  but you don't have all the various save options....  Apparently reinstalling the software didn't help...  I have all the latest Win and Dell updates.

Hi @zakrz1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw is not saving scanned documents and you are using Windows 11 64-bit Pro via Ethernet connection, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:

Recheck the Software and Drivers:

  • Ensure you have installed the correct version of the full software package for your printer, especially after removing any prior versions.
  • You mentioned installing "Full_Webpack-63.6.6364-SJ0001_Full_Webpack," so verify it is compatible with your printer model.
  • Consider downloading the latest version or updates from the HP Software and Drivers page.

Verify Network Configuration:

  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to the network using Ethernet. Check if the network connection is stable.
  • Confirm that the printer's IP address is properly configured and accessible from your computer.

Check Scan Settings:

  • Open the scanning application (such as HP Easy Scan, HP Smart, or the Embedded Web Server) and check your scan settings.
  • Ensure that the selected file format and destination folder for saving scanned documents are correctly set.

Run as Administrator:

  • Run the HP Scan application as an administrator by right-clicking the application icon and selecting "Run as administrator."
  • This might resolve permission issues preventing files from being saved.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer on the HP website.
  • Keeping the firmware up to date can resolve known bugs and improve functionality.

Check for Errors:

  • Observe if there are any error messages or notifications when attempting to save. Check the Troubleshooting section for common issues related to saving.

Clear Cache and Temporary Files:

Sometimes cache and temporary files can cause issues in saving documents. Clear your PC’s cache and temporary files to clean up memory.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I've tried 2 software packages: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw-3303sdw and 3388sdw Driver Installation Software – Includes Print, Scan, Fax drivers and HP Universal Scan - Full Feature Software and Driver, neither of which allows me to save.  Network configuration is fine, otherwise I wouldn't be able to print. Scan settings correct, firmware latest, tried running HP Scan as admin, cleared cache and temp files, still won't let me save. When the save screen for location/filename comes up, it immediately closes when I move a cursor over it without any error messages.   I can only scan from printer to PC.
