I just installed all in one HP OfficeJetPro 9015e and after installing the full software web package I see the scan options page I wanted . I want to scan in the tif format but when I choose that option and scan, I find the document is still in the format I scanned it in.  What can I do to get the software to work correctly?

Yes, the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is capable of scanning documents and saving them in the TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) format. Here's how you can scan in TIFF format using the OfficeJet Pro 9015:

 

Place the Document: Put the document you want to scan into the scanner's document feeder or onto the scanner glass.

 

Access the Scanner: Use the touchscreen display on the printer to navigate to the scanning options. Look for the "Scan" or "Scan To" option on the printer's control panel.

 

Select TIFF Format: Navigate through the options to choose the file format for scanning. Look for "TIFF" or "Tagged Image File Format" among the available formats and select it.

 

Adjust Settings (if needed): Depending on the specific scanning preferences, you might be able to adjust settings such as resolution, color settings, or any other advanced scanning options before initiating the scan.

 

Start Scanning: Once you've selected TIFF as the desired format and adjusted any necessary settings, start the scanning process by choosing the "Scan" or "Start Scan" option on the printer's display.

 

Save the Scan: After the scan is complete, you'll usually have options to save the scanned document. Follow the prompts on the printer's screen to save the scanned document in TIFF format.

 

If you're using a computer to control the scanning process instead of the printer's touchscreen display, you can also use HP's scanning software on your computer. Open the HP scanning software, select the scanner, choose TIFF as the output format, adjust settings if needed, and initiate the scan from your computer.

Thank you so much for taking your time to answer this question.  The process you meticulously described is what I was use to doing with the former HB all in one.  However, when I saved in tiff form it didn't show it was saving in that form.  Meanwhile, I ran some diagnostics on my windows Dell computer and one of the updates was a new driver.  Then I noticed when I saved it finally named it as a tiff.  Yeah! But then muse score still couldn't read it.  Argh!  Then finally I realized I was forgetting to change it to XML format with my sharpeye software.  Yeah!  I now can once again do the music notation work I use for school and church.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!  Had you not replied, I was near the point of scrapping the all in one and getting something different.  God bless you for making the time to give me a solution and support!!
