I just bought a new laptop and when I loaded HPSmart and I select Scan I just get a basic screen with no "Manage my image" options like I had on my old laptop. How can I get the editing and image options to come up?

Hi @PattieT,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We understand that on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One Printer, the scan screen in the HP app is showing only basic options, and the “Manage my image” / editing options are missing compared to your old laptop.
Please follow the steps below exactly:
Step 1: Sign in to the HP App (Important)
- Open the HP app
- Make sure you are signed in to your HP account
➡️ Advanced scan features (like editing, image tools, etc.) are only available when signed in
Step 2: Recheck Advanced Features
- Go to Scan again
- Select:
- Scanner Glass or Document Feeder
- Perform a scan
➡️ After scanning, in the preview window, you should see options to:
- Edit
- Rotate
- Add/remove pages
- Enhance image
Step 3: Confirm Printer Eligibility
- Some advanced features (like:
- Text Extract
- Multi-item scan
- Editing tools)
require: - Supported printer model
- Proper setup in the HP app
➡️ If the printer is not fully set up or linked, these options may not appear
Step 4: Re-add the Printer in the HP App
- Open the HP app
- Remove the printer
- Click Add Printer (+)
- Set it up again while signed in

I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
