HP ENVY 12O - ALL IN ONE COMPUTER

My HP envy 120 scanner bar sticks on occasion and when it finally scans to print it only gives me streaks.  how can I resolve this problem?  Is this a manual repair issue or can driver updates, some drivers that I've updated already,  repair this issue?

Hi@LadreaJoy,

I would like to take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support community . I came across your post and would like to help. I understand that you have an All-in-One Printer and there are vertical streaks on the scanned image. The print quality is good. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job in isolating the issue.

I recommend you to perform the below steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a solution:

  • Please try to make a copy from the printer and check. If the copy also has streaks then please continue to perform the below steps.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.

  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.

  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.

  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself.

  • If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Now please scan and check the output. If the printer continues to produce streaks on the scanned image then I suggest you to perform the steps from this link: http://hp.care/2hW9RF5.

Keep me posted. Happy to help!
