I am having difficulty in linking my printer and laptop to scan and print.  I have a new Lenovo laptop and the scanner does not work from the laptop.

To resolve the difficulty you are experiencing while trying to link your HP 2700 printer/scanner with your Lenovo laptop, follow these steps:
 

Ensure the Printer is Properly Set Up:
 

  • Make sure the HP 2700 printer is properly connected to a power source and switched on.
     
  • Ensure all protective tapes and stickers are removed from the printer.


Install HP Printer Software:
 

  • Visit the HP Customer Support page to download the latest printer driver and software specific to the HP 2700 series.
     
  • Enter your printer model and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the recommended software.


Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
 


Add Printer on Lenovo Laptop:
 

  • Open "Settings" on your Lenovo laptop, select "Devices," then "Printers & scanners."
     
  • Click "Add a printer or scanner" and let your laptop search for available devices.
     
  • Select your HP 2700 printer from the list and click "Add device."

 

Test Printing and Scanning:
 

  • Once the printer is added, try printing a test page to confirm that printing is set up correctly.
     
  • For scanning, use the HP app or Windows Fax and Scan. Make sure your printer is selected and attempt to scan a document.


Troubleshooting:
 

  • If scanning is still not working, ensure that your printer is selected as the default scanner in the scanning software.
     
  • Restart both your printer and laptop, and try disconnecting and reconnecting the Wi-Fi connection.
