@mes54, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community! 👋

Thanks for dropping by the HP Community, where printers are smart, tanks are full, and we’re always ready to scan away your worries! 😄

So, you're trying to save a scanned document from your HP Smart Tank 7600 All-in-One, but the elusive PDF option is playing hide and seek? No worries, we’ve got your back (and your docs)!

Here’s how to bring that PDF option out of hiding:

Option 1: Use the HP Smart App (a.k.a. your printer’s BFF)

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your PC or mobile device.
  2. Click on Scan.
  3. Once the scan preview appears, look for the File Type or Save As option.
  4. Select PDF from the list (it might default to JPEG, but you can change it).
  5. Hit Save, and voilà, your document is now a proud PDF!

Pro Tip: If you don’t see the PDF option, make sure your HP Smart app is updated to the latest version. Sometimes features like to sneak in with updates!

Option 2: Use HP Scan (for Windows)

  1. Search for HP Scan in your Windows Start menu.
  2. Choose your scan settings and select PDF as the file type.
  3. Click Scan, then Save.

🧙‍♂️ Bonus Magic Trick:

If you're scanning multiple pages and want them in a single PDF, both the HP Smart app and HP Scan can do that too, just keep adding pages before hitting save!

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead! 🖨
