How do you clean the inner glass of the hp smart tank 580? There are dust inside the scanner glass.

How can i clean my hp smart tank 580,It has dust inside the scanner. It cause smudge/shadow when i use it. Is there any way to clean tne inner side of glass?

Steps to Clean the Scanner Glass:

Turn off the Printer:

• Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
• Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and disconnect any other cables.

Access the Scanner Glass:

• Lift the scanner lid to expose the scanner glass.

Cleaning the Glass:

• Lightly dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with distilled or filtered water. Ensure you squeeze any excess water from the cloth.
• Wipe the surface of the scanner glass gently to remove dust or smudges. Avoid using abrasive materials or solvents like benzene or alcohol, as they can damage the glass or leave streaks.

Dry the Glass:

• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to completely dry the scanner glass after cleaning.

Inspect and Repeat if Necessary:

• Close the scanner lid and inspect the quality of the scan or copy. If there are still smudges or shadows, repeat the cleaning process.

Reconnect and Turn On:
