I get 500+  messages a day saying "HP Scan To Computer" is not connected.  But when I go to the HP Smart screen to try to download it, I'm sent to a screen that has many choices.  I don't know which one to select.

Hi @MidlandDave,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To download the "HP Scan to Computer" software, which allows your HP printer to communicate with your computer for scanning purposes, you'll want to ensure you select the correct software package that includes this feature. Here's how to do it:

Visit the HP Website: Go to the official HP Support website here.

Find Your Printer Model: Enter your specific printer model in the search bar to access its support page. You can usually find the model number on the printer itself.

Select the Operating System: Once you're on your printer's support page, you will be asked to select your operating system. Make sure to choose the correct version of Windows or macOS that you are using.

Download the Full Feature Software: Look for a software package named "HP Full Feature Software and Driver" or something similar. This package will include all necessary drivers and software, including the HP Scan feature.

Install the Software: Download and install the software. During the installation, ensure that you select the option to include the scanning capabilities. This step will typically install the "HP Scan to Computer" feature on your system.

Connect Your Printer: Follow any on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your computer, using either USB or network, as per your preference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
