Hi @GailAR,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To import contacts into your HP Officejet Pro 8600 E-All-In-One Printer for emailing purposes, you'll typically need to use the printer's web interface. Here are the general steps to follow.

  • Access the Printer's Web Interface: Ensure that your printer is connected to your network. You can then access its web interface by typing its IP address into a web browser. The IP address can usually be found by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel.
  • Login to the Printer's Web Interface: Once you've entered the printer's IP address into your browser, you'll be prompted to log in. Use the administrator credentials for your printer. If you haven't set these up yet, consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to do so.
  • Navigate to the Address Book: Once logged in, navigate through the menu options to find the Address Book or Contacts section. This may vary slightly depending on the printer's firmware version, but it's typically found under a "Settings" or "Networking" menu.
  • Import Contacts: Within the Address Book or Contacts section, you should find an option to import contacts. This might involve uploading a CSV file containing your contacts' information. Ensure your contacts are formatted correctly in the CSV file with appropriate headers for name, email address, etc.
  • Complete the Import Process: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the import process. Once imported, your contacts should be accessible from the printer's interface.
  • Testing: After importing your contacts, you should be able to access them when scanning documents and selecting recipients for email.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
