The number of pages supported in one job depends on how much data (content) is on each page, the amount of printer memory, and the ability of your network to keep up with the demand (scanning uses a lot of resources). 

 

The type of content and the scanning software or application might make a difference in the results.

 

At some point, if you keep scanning page after page after page, the job will collapse when the printer memory is full.

Poof!  The job will abort and the data is lost.  What?  There is no "save on the fly" option.

In general, the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software (HP Scan) provides access to all the printer features, including those options used for scanning documents containing multiple pages.

 

Example - Windows - HP Scan - PDF > More > Destination

Destination > File Type - Leave Box UNCHECKED  "Separate file for each scanned page"
