Hi @Mcm24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're having trouble with the display on your HP Pavilion 7800 desktop computer. If the issue persists after unplugging and restarting, here are some additional steps you can try:

Check Monitor Connections:

  • Make sure that the monitor is properly connected to the desktop. Ensure that the cables are securely plugged into both the computer and the monitor.

Restart in Safe Mode:

  • Restart your computer in Safe Mode. This can help determine if the issue is related to a third-party software or driver.
  • To do this, restart your computer and press the F8 key repeatedly before the Windows logo appears. Choose "Safe Mode" from the advanced boot options.

Graphics Driver Update:

  • Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can visit the official HP website or the website of the graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers for your system. Click Here

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Test your monitor with another computer to ensure that the issue is not with the monitor itself.
  • If possible, try connecting your desktop to a different monitor to see if the issue persists.

System Restore:

  • If the problem started recently, you may consider using System Restore to revert your system to a point when it was working correctly.

Check for Beep Codes or LED Indicators:

  • Pay attention to any beep codes or LED indicators on your desktop. These can provide clues about potential hardware issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
