Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. I am unable to open the hp smart app.  It just keeps trying to load and not responding.

Hi @sarah295,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Smart App. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

  • Please uninstall the App for your PC and then check if there are any pending updates on your PC.
  • Once the PC is updated then restart the PC.
  • Once the PC is turned back and idle, download HP Smart 
  • Once installed, check if you are able to access the app.
