I am unable to find my printer device on Hp scan and capture

Welcome to the HP Community --

Well, whatever you do, do not delete the app --

HP Scan and Capture was retired (May 2024).

If you uninstall the app, HP no longer provides the means for re-install.

What to do?

First, perhaps restart both printer and computer --

If the printer is still not in the "available device list" , perhaps try the "+ Manual Search" option.

Note:

From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).
