• What is the exact model of your scanner (or printer if it’s an all‑in‑one)?
• Is it connected via USB, Wi‑Fi, or Ethernet?

 

Operating environment
• Which operating system are you currently using (Windows, macOS, Linux, etc.)?
• Have you recently changed or updated your OS?

 

Usage context
• Are you trying to scan from the physical control panel, from a bundled app, or from a third‑party program?
• Does the scanner show up at all in your system’s device list?

 

Symptoms
• Do you see any error messages or codes?
• Does the scanner make any sound or attempt to start scanning?
• Is printing working fine (if it’s a multifunction device), or is scanning the only issue?
