I cannot send saved scans or files as HP Smart App blocks it as unsafe. Is it okay to delete the Smart App?

The HP Smart App’s got an upgrade — it’s now the HP App

 

If you are facing issues with forwarding scans or files through the HP app due to it being blocked as unsafe, it might be related to the app's security settings or a software glitch. Before deciding to uninstall the app, you might want to try a few troubleshooting steps.

 

Update the HP App: Ensure that the app is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, updates fix bugs or security settings that could be causing such issues.

Check Security Settings: Examine the app's security and sharing settings to ensure files are not blocked or marked as unsafe unintentionally.

Reinstallation: If updating the app doesn't solve the problem, consider reinstalling it. This can often resolve unexpected behavior or configuration issues.

Scan Files: Check if the files in question are being flagged by your security software outside the HP app or check if the files are corrupted.

 

Deleting the app will not cause any harm to your device, but it will disable any features or conveniences the HP app provides, such as easy scanning, printing, and managing HP devices directly from your computer or mobile device. If you do decide to delete it, you can always reinstall it later from the HP website or your device's app store.
