I cannot scan from my HP Smart Tank 7602r to my HP Envy x360 laptop

I understand your HP Smart Tank 7602r cannot scan to your HP Envy x360 laptop. Let’s go through a few checks.

Verify Printer and Laptop Network Connection

Make sure the printer and HP Envy x360 are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

On the printer control panel, open Wireless settings and confirm the network name.

On the laptop, confirm Wi-Fi connection from Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.

Restart the router, printer, and laptop.

Try scanning again after all devices reconnect.

 

Confirm Printer Is Ready in the HP app

Open the HP app on the laptop.

Verify the Smart Tank 7602r shows as “Ready” or “Online.”

If the printer shows offline, select Add Printer and reconnect it.

Ensure scanning features appear in the HP app home screen.

Attempt a scan from the app.

 

Check Windows Scan Services

Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Locate Windows Image Acquisition (WIA).

Ensure the status is Running.

If stopped, right-click and select Start.

Retry scanning.

 

Reinstall the Printer Software

Disconnect the printer USB cable if connected.

Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.

Remove the HP Smart Tank 7600 series software.

Restart the laptop.

Install the full feature driver from HP and add the printer again.

 

Test Scan from Printer Control Panel

Place a document on the scanner glass.

Select Scan on the printer touchscreen.

Choose Computer and select your laptop name.

Start the scan.

Confirm whether the scan completes or shows an error.

Note: If the laptop does not appear in the scan-to-computer list, scan-to-computer may not be enabled in the printer software on the laptop.
