Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

When I connect to Mint Internet I get Internet service but in my Settings for WiFi/Internet it says "No internet, secured."
Then when I try to connect to HP Smart to scan documents I get a message saying I have to connect to the internet, then sign in to HP Smart. So I have internet service but HP Smart doesn't seem to read it.
I can print documents on my HP printer through WiFi.
Before I changed to Mint from ATT last week I did not have this problem.

After working with Mint they told me to contact HP support to see if my HP Envy  laptop has a problem..
Thanks for your help.

Several days ago I sent the reply that my laptop is

HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 15-fe0xxx

and my printer is

HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277
I got a message that you have not gotten a reply from me.

I’m sorry you didn’t get it.

Hi @freeyourbody,

Thank you so much for getting back to us, and no worries at all, we appreciate your patience. We’ve received your device details now:

Based on what you described, Wi-Fi working, printing working, but Windows showing “No internet, secured” and HP Smart refusing to sign in — this usually happens after switching internet providers because of DNS or network isolation settings. Let’s walk through a few steps to get HP Smart connected again.

1. Reset your laptop’s network profile
– Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Status
– Select Network Reset
– Restart your laptop
This clears old ATT network configuration that can cause the “No internet, secured” message.

2. Set DNS to a public DNS (fixes HP Smart sign-in issue)
– Right-click your Wi-Fi icon → Network & Internet Settings
– Wi-Fi → Hardware Properties → Edit DNS
– Choose Manual → IPv4 → ON
– Enter:
 Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
 Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4
– Save and reconnect
HP Smart requires stable DNS to validate your HP Account, Mint Mobile hotspots sometimes use DNS that blocks this.

3. Turn off VPN or privacy firewalls if enabled
HP Smart will show “No internet” even when browsing works if a privacy filter blocks sign-in traffic.

4. Reconnect your printer to the Mint Wi-Fi network
– On the M277 printer panel → Setup → Network → Wireless Setup
– Re-join the Mint network
If your printer and laptop are not on the same band (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz), scanning will fail.

5. Sign out and reinstall HP Smart
– Open HP Smart → Sign out
– Uninstall HP Smart
– Restart
– Install HP Smart again from Microsoft Store
A fresh login forces the app to re-detect the network.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
