I was having trouble scanning so I went on line (edited). I was directed to an option to get new drivers. There was an error finding the driver. I asked the chat bot and gave it my info. Then I was connected with a tech. He was very rude and arrogant. He wanted me to give him access to my PC so I did. I was not comfortable with him or the fact that he had control of my PC. He started going places he did not need to go on my PC and then he started smart mouthing me. I hung up and unplugged my PC. Is this kind of treatment similar to anything anyone else has experienced? I was insulted and not impressed. Is it easy to get into a scam situation with this kind of help?
