I am getting a thin black line down the entire length of the page approximately 1.5" from the left side of the page. This only happens to the scans not when I print a document. When I print the scanned document the line shows up. If I print a non scanned document there is no line. I've gone through all the cleaning steps on the HP.com site and am still getting the line. The printer has a new HP black ink cartridge.

I did a scan from the flat bed and there is no line. I'm thinking that this means something in the feeder path is putting the line on the image. I've cleaned the top of the glass (I don't know how to get to the underside) and it still puts the line there when I scan using the ADF.

After reading some additional posts I used my cell phone light and saw a tiny dot on the glass that appeared to be some sort of glue that didn't come off when I wiped the glass down with a wet microfiber towel. Once I got some cleaner involved the dot came off and no more lines on the scans.
