I was about to scan a document, but my app had disappear

I understand the scanning app you were using suddenly disappeared. 

 

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

 

  • Check for the App: First, check if the scanning app is still installed on your HP Notebook. You can do this by searching for it in the Start menu or looking through your list of installed programs.
  • Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve software issues. Try restarting your HP Notebook and see if the scanning app reappears.
  • Check Task Manager: If the app is running but not visible, it might be hidden or stuck. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc, then look for the scanning app under the "Processes" tab. If you find it, right-click on it and choose "Maximize" or "Bring to front" to see if it appears on your screen.
  • Reinstall the App: If you can't find the scanning app or if it's still not working after restarting, you might need to reinstall it. Check your app store or the manufacturer's website for the latest version of the scanning app and reinstall it.
  • Check for Updates: Make sure that your HP Notebook's operating system and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can cause apps to behave unexpectedly. Software and Drivers for HP Notebook - 15-dw0077nr
  • Run System File Checker: Use the System File Checker tool to scan and repair any corrupted system files that may be causing the issue. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type the command "sfc /scannow" (without quotes), then press Enter.
  • Perform a System Restore: If the issue started recently, you can try performing a system restore to revert your HP Notebook to a previous state when the scanning app was working fine. Search for "System Restore" in the Start menu to begin the process.
