  • Email providers require extra security for machine to machine (printer to email server) tasks.
  • In your email account security >> Enable 2FA (2-step verification) > Create an App Password to be used with the Email task.
  • When you create your SMTP Scan to Email Profile, use your App Password in place of your regular email login password.

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section Open the EWS over a local network orientation

 

Open your Browser

Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Scan > Scan to Email > Settings / Scan to Email Setup

A second option would be to use the Scan to Network Folder option. This allows you to scan directly to a shared folder on your computer or other network location.  You can then attach that file to an email. As mail providers continue to ratchet up security it can be challenging getting scan to email working with some providers.
