HP LaserJet MFP M140we Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Laserjet MFP M140we printer scanned ok at first. But now, I can't get it to scan a whole page 8.5x11. When I go to manage image, it shows width 4.17 and length 6.40. When I try to change the size to something larger, I get this error message:

"you must enter a number between 1.00 and 4.17 for width"

I worked on this problem for several hours trying to scan the whole page, but nothing seems to work. It is possible that I once pressed "save" after cropping an image of something, and it looks like it's stuck at that size no matter what I do. I can get it smaller to crop the image, but I cannot get it larger. I also tried to find how to reset to factory defaults, but couldn't find any feature like that anywhere. How can I get the scanner to scan the whole page so that the image size is 8.5 x 11?
