The details depend on the printer model and the software / application you are using to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer.

 

What?

Printers vary quite a bit from one model to another.

 

Given a fully capable, high-end OfficeJet printer, full driver printer software installed,

Possibly with 2-sided scanning supported, 

Job setup is simply a matter of loading the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder),

(and)

Configuring the Scan software to scan and add all scanned pages into a single PDF file .

 

Your setup might be similar or different from the example.
