Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Check HP Smart App: If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store. This app often provides more comprehensive functionality, including scanning.

 

Reinstall Printer Software: Sometimes, reinstalling the printer software can restore missing options. You can download the latest drivers and software from the HP website.
 

Use HP Printer Assistant: Double-click the printer icon on your desktop and select "Scan a Document or Photo" from the HP Printer Assistant.

 

Update Windows: Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates can sometimes fix compatibility issues.
