I must be missing something. Certainly there must be an option to do a circle-shaped crop-edit after a scan on HP Smart. Square-shaped options are available but not one that allows to edit an image to an oval or circular crop. What am I missing? And if this is a feature HP forgot to include can you recommend free software that will allow this - that will save the output to an actual JPG file (only free alternatives I can find for some reason won't save to proper JPG). Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

HP Smart does not have that feature to crop Circular shape.

However, once the image is scanned, insert the image to a Powerpoint Presentation - where you can crop to circular shapes and then save the image as a JPEG!

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. Those video tutorials are totally useless. I'm amazed such a simple function is not available on HP Smart or, frankly, Windows 10. On Mac OS it comes standard with its onboard Preview app.
